The Neosho County Board of County Commissioners are seeking a full-time Noxious Weed Director. The person in this position would report as required statutorily to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, would work to control noxious weeds in Neosho County, and would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Noxious Weed Department. Benefits includes KPERS retirement, health, dental, and vision insurance, sick leave after probationary period. Pay will based upon experience and qualifications. Road & Bridge Office Assistant
The Neosho County Road & Bridge department has an opening for a full-time Office Assistant, this job serves as administrative support for the Road & Bridge Director.
Must be able to operate a computer, scanner and Microsoft Office.
Capability to learn new software in a timely manner is essential.
Ability to comprehend policies & procedures, meet deadlines.
Efficiently process paperwork on a regular basis.
Proficient in data entry.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Skilled in organization and office operations (filling, inventory, payment vouchers) and other clerical services as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands & fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age. Two years of relevant work experience and an associates degree is preferred.
Hours are from 7 am- 3:30 pm and the hourly rate is dependent on experience.
